Have you ever gotten tired of doing the same workout over and over again? Guess what! you are not alone. Track and Field athletes have to do a number of repetitions in order to create muscle memory, strengthen the movement, increase explosiveness and boost performance with the goal of becoming the best athlete.

This epic training can cause boredom.

A great way to break the boredom is to switch up your warm up drills or event specific drills. Usually your coach will have this scheduled in your training plan for the year, If not make the request to have an event specific drill done during pre-competition and competition phases that are more advanced.

Switch up your training venue and or time, something as simple as training in the morning instead of afternoon can really leave you feeling excited because of all the logistics that goes into training at a different venue and time. It is definitely exciting to be at a beautiful park or side of a hill doing drills instead of an a track.

Another great way to switch it up is to get creative with your workout gear, find colors that get you excited, I have heard yellow is a vibrant color and can lift your energy levels. Athletes that run for schools or colleges can find themselves wearing the same thing over and over again. So switch it up by buying T-shirt designs that boost your confidence and gets you excited about the days workout.

Finally, you have to accept that the only way to be the best is to repeat the effort and repeat it correctly. so stop crying like a baby and get use to it.

Best of luck.
